The whole country takes the red pill

There has been an odd imbalance in the World over the past few years. Something hasn’t felt quite right. Sure the sun rises, it sets again, the moon is often seen doing what the moon does and people go about their daily business as they have always done. But something has felt, oh I don’t know … misaligned … out of step … different … how it shouldn’t ought to be.

But lately there’s been a shift back to normality. Like two lenses aligning correctly to bring the World back into focus.

Labour is in power, the country is in recession, people are losing their jobs and governmentalists are throwing themselves at the barricades of the economy like pre-teens on a bouncy castle.

Again I can sleep comfortably at night instead of lying awake thinking that I’m in some kind of matrixesque nightmare.

“You take the blue pill and the story ends. You wake in your bed and believe whatever you want to believe. You take the red pill and you stay in Wonderland and I show you how deep the rabbit-hole goes.”
